Dandruff is a nuisance for many of us. You know that feeling - you dress up in a black dress and suddenly those unaesthetic white flakes appear all around your outfit. No need to panic! Firstly, dandruff is a common scalp disease, that is found in more than half the world's population and secondly, it can be treated with natural remedies that are cheap, at hand and, above all, effective!
Here's what you can use in order to get rid of dandruff naturally:
Dandruff is triggered by a change in the pH of the scalp. Due to its acidity, apple cider vinegar is ideal for getting rid of this nuisance.
Usage: Mix one part vinegar with one part water. Wash your hair with shampoo and rinse with warm water. Then pour the vinegar mixture to damp hair and gently massage the scalp. Leave to act for 10-15 minutes then rinse with warm water. The procedure must be repeated for 7 days.
Lemon and yogurt
These two banal ingredients can permanently destroy dandruff. Make a mask of yogurt and lemon juice and apply it to damp hair, gently massaging the scalp. You can add a few drops of almond oil and 2 teaspoons of honey, which serve to prevent dry skin. This mask can be applied 2-3 times a week.
The juice from the leaves of Aloe relieves itching and scaling of the skin and prevents the recurrence of dandruff. Aloe Vera has antiseptic properties, balancing the sebum, moisturizing, thus preventing dry skin. Apply it directly to the affected area, leave it for about an hour to act and then wash the scalp under running cold water. Do not use shampoo after this procedure.
Baking soda has numerous uses for beauty, including the elimination of dandruff. Massage the damp scalp with a pinch of baking soda, a few times a week. Leave 15 minute to act and rinse with warm water. Do not use shampoo afterwards!
Tea tree essential oil
There are several types of essential oil with beneficial effects for hair, but the most recognized is the tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic that eliminates dandruff quickly. You can buy shampoos that contain more than 5% essential oil. Another option may be to add essential oil to ordinary shampoo (10 drops in 300 ml shampoo).
