Below theses recipes you'll find my super-secret simplified DIY homemade shampoo with essential oils and conditioner recipes. These are what I use when I don't have time to make my own, or I've run out of an ingredient needed for one of the homemade recipes.
EASIER DIY HAIR CARE WITH HOMEMADE SHAMPOO WITH ESSENTIAL OILS BY MAMA Z
Another great alternative to toxic hair care products is to buy something like this unscented organic shampoo from Desert Essence, or their unscented conditioner and add your own essential oils! I recommend 8 drops of essential oil per ounce of product. For babies try this unscented baby-mild pure castile soap from Dr. Bronner. You can use it plain, or add a few drops of lavender essential oil.
INGREDIENTS FOR DIY ESSENTIAL OIL MOISTURIZING SHAMPOO1 cup Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castile Soap;½ cup canned coconut milk (We like Thrive Market to get a discount)1 tablespoon fresh frozen aloe or aloe vera gel1 teaspoon carrier oil1 teaspoon magnesium gel25 drops essential oils10 drops vitamin E10 drops argan oil5 drops each carrot seed oil and red raspberry seed oils [optional for color-treated hair]
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DIY ESSENTIAL OIL MOISTURIZING SHAMPOOBlend well using an immersion blender, or by shaking vigerously in a glass jar.Store in an 16-ounce glass pump bottle for easy dispensing.
*VariationsLavender, Lemon, Tea Tree, and Rose are all great oils for hair care. Peppermint and rosemary are great to stimulate hair growth. Mix and match as desired!
